Auction raises £11,405 for Seismic Work

Unst and Yell Tunnel Action Groups’ online auction concluded on Friday (12th December) and has raised £11,405 towards the planned seismic surveys of Yell Sound and Bluemull Sound.

The online auction included a range of special prizes and unique experiences generously donated by local businesses and supporters of the campaign.

Joint chair of Yell Tunnel Action Group, Graham Hughson, said: “We are extremely grateful to all those that have participated in the auction – both in terms of gifting items and taking part in the bidding. The funds, together with that which has already been raised in the community, will go towards the essential seismic work required to inform the next stage of tunnel development.”
